Tomorrow is the first ‘Cup of Joe with Jo’ campaign stop.
In embracing a time-honored Amherst tradition of ensuring that lawmakers meet with constituents in public forums, I’m kicking off at the Black Sheep Deli and Bakery (79 Main Street, Amherst at 10 a.m.).
And between now and September 4, I’ll meet community members throughout the Hampshire, Franklin, Worcester district at 16 local venues.
These meetings will be in addition to amazing house parties, door knocking, and other public campaign events dedicated to ensuring that I meet as many potential voters as possible.
Here’s what our campaign chair, Pamela Schwartz, had to say, “After being invited to attend such a public coffee with Representative Jim McGovern, Jo returned to the campaign committed to doing these kinds of gatherings district-wide to demonstrate the kind of accessible, accountable lawmaker she’ll be, if elected to represent our district on Beacon Hill. And a bonus to Jo, of course, is that this supports local businesses.”
