Day 93 in our countdown to Primary Day, September 4.
Morning with Ann, my wife, and our daughter, Chloe. (Isaiah was at a birthday sleepover!)
Great breakfast. Chores. A walk with Otis, our dog. Chloe reminded us today is Otis’ 3rd birthday. So, of course, we dug up requisite treats.
And lots of email.
11:00 a.m.: Core campaign crew arrives at my home. 10 incredible organizers, strategists, campaigners pile in for a two-hour planning meeting. We meet by phone with the person who’s built our voter ID model and discuss door knocking, phone calling, and get out the vote (GOTV) strategy.
1:00 p.m.: The Northampton team arrives for a Northampton kick off led by the incredible campaign chair and Northampton field organizer, Pamela Schwartz. The energy is electric. (One picture above; one below.)
2:00 p.m.: I zoom off to Greenfield for a tremendous house party thanks to Mary and Al Siano and Cate Woolner. Fabulous conversation with folks from Greenfield, Montague, Deerfield, Northfield, and Sunderland. (A couple of pictures below.)
3:00 p.m.: Ann goes to an event at the Northampton Survival Center, which is one of the organizations Ann and I feel lucky to support.
5:30 p.m.: Home for dinner, kid baths, a run to the grocery store, a few loads of laundry for the week, lots of books, and kiddo bedtime.
8:30 p.m: More email. And still more:).
9:40 p.m.: Write to you.
And make sure to add in pictures!
